Ángel Mateo Ramírez Vargas - Crisma

Ángel Mateo Ramírez Vargas

Angel is the youngest in her family. Angel's mother began to notice irregularities when she was six months pregnant with Angel. One month later, at seven months, Angel was born with respiratory distress, requiring intubation for 3 weeks and a nasogastric tube for 65 days and remained hospitalized for 80 days in the NICU. Years later Angel presented seizures and was hospitalized again. Nowadays Angel continues fighting for his health, seeking greater independence. You can become a hope for Angel's life. With your annual contribution, Angel will be able to receive a comprehensive treatment that will strengthen his psychomotor development.

About Ángel Mateo

When Angel arrived at CRISMA he did not fixate his gaze, he does not react to sounds. At CRISMA Angel has worked hard to focus his attention and now he is a very awake and restless child. He still has a hard time picking up objects on his own, but his little brother has been his great teacher and companion in his development.

About his family

Angel lives with his mom and dad and his brother. His mom is a young mother, she dedicates her time to take care of Angel and his little brother, as well as housework. His father works for a company.

About his treatment

His comprehensive rehabilitation treatment is focused on strengthening his psychomotor system, based on:  sensory stimulation and mobilizations of the left side of the body. It is suggested to do a Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) test and a hip ultrasound (X-Ray, if ultrasound is not possible) to rule out congenital dysplasia.
