Elia Azucena González Juárez
Elia is the youngest in her family. When Elia's mother became pregnant with Elia, she was hospitalized in the second month of pregnancy for hyperglycemia and hypertension, at 5 months of pregnancy Elia was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Elia was born at 36 weeks by cesarean section and remained in the NICU for one week. One month after birth she underwent surgery to place a valve due to hydrocephalus. Some time later, due to the hydrocephalus, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and hip dysplasia. Elia has suffered a lot throughout her life due to multiple surgeries, but Elia is very strong and always has a contagious smile. You can become a hope for Elia's life. About Elia Azucena
Elia is a smiling child, full of joy and enthusiasm, she loves to sing and dance. Every Friday at CRISMA, Elia learns new songs and how to dance with her little arms because Elia needs support to stand up. She uses her walker to do little steps, it is very difficult for her to maintain her postures, but she continues to make an enthusiastic effort to do so. At the age of four Elia had surgery to correct her hip dysplasia, but over the years she continues to work to improve it. At the age of 6, Elia suffered a severe fall that would cause seizures lasting up to an hour.
About her family
Elia lives with her mother and father and a sister. Her mother is a merchant and her father is a cab driver. Elia currently attends a special education school.
About her treatment
Her comprehensive rehabilitation treatment is focused on strengthening his psychomotor system, based on: - Strengthening of the trunk - Strengthening of the upper and lower limbs - Maintain the arcs of movement - Coordination exercises - Standing stimulation and walking stimulation
