Alienum phaedrum torquatos nec eu, vis detraxit periculis ex, nihil expetendis in mei. Mei an pericula euripidis, hinc partem.

“Where there is a tree to plant, plant it yourself. Where there is a mistake to amend, you amend it. Where there is an effort that everyone dodges, do it yourself. Be the one who moves the stone out of the way “.

Gabriela Mistral.

Vamos México was born in 2001 with the objective of serving our nation by helping people living in vulnerable situations.

Since then, with the participation of our benefactors, we have tried to make visible the pain of those who have the least, to face their situation and spread the spirit of service, so that we can change the future of this country that we deeply love.

To be a benchmark, nationally and internationally, of effective work in search of the most optimal results with the sum of professional efforts and commitment in social actions.

Discipline and Respect

We join forces to multiply results.

Marta Sahagún de Fox

Marta Sahagún Jiménez was born in Zamora, Michoacán on April 10, 1953. Since she was a child, she had the concern of serving others, this thanks to the direct influence of her father, Alberto Sahagún de la Parra, who was a doctor.

My father was the town doctor. He was the one who inspired me with a sense of empathy. Outside of her office he had a small sign that said: “The doctor’s office costs $ 5, but if he doesn’t have them, we take care of him anyway.” Everyone was welcome.

(…) He took care of every person who crossed her door. It was his social responsibility that inspired me to solve the most basic and yet the greatest human problems, such as poverty, hunger, injustice and inequality.”

During the 1970s, she did social work through the Rotary Club, until 1988 when she joined the National Action Party.

After having served as first lady in the six-year term of her husband, Vicente Fox Quesada (Former President of México 2000-2006), Mrs. Marta dedicated all of her efforts to her Vamos México Foundation. Since then, her work has been fruitful and prolific, becoming a great reference at a national and international level.

Through this Foundation and its various associations and donors, the humanitarian work of its objectives has considerably transformed several low-income sectors in Guanajuato. Fundación Vamos México is a non-profit social organization that began activities on September 24, 2001, with the spirit of promoting participation and social commitment.

The institution continuously supports various causes at the local and national level, between health and well-being, nutrition and education, addictions and citizen care, community development and volunteering, disability and psychological care, as well as strengthening civil society organizations.

Lic. Vicente Fox Quesada

Vicente Fox Quesada was born at Rancho San Cristóbal, in Guanajuato, Mexico, on July 2, 1942; There he enjoyed his childhood and youth with neighbors from his community in which he recognizes that the only thing that made his life different from theirs were the opportunities that he did have and that others were denied.

Something that marked his childhood was the realization that poverty, one of the evils that plagues the world, can be avoided.

He studied Business Administration at the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Diploma in Senior Management taught by professors from the Harvard University School of Business.

He was Governor of the State of Guanajuato from 1994 to 1999 and President of Mexico in the period 2000-2006, being the first president of the Republic to emanate from the opposition.

Today he directs Centro Fox, an organization that promotes the leadership development of children, youth and adults and whose programs are especially aimed at the most disadvantaged.
